Cedar Fort Authors' Internet Conference
Today I spent the day at Cedar Fort, Inc. at an authors' Conference on
the Internet. There we were, most of us well over thirty, listening to
three very young people who are considered experts in that very
technical field, being mentored in using the Internet to promote our
books.
Genevieve Brennan, from Google, was delightful to listen to, and
surely knows her topic. She explained Google Books and all the
fascinating ways Google helps authors - for free - to increase their
Internet presence.
Kaleb Nation, "the TwilightGuy", shared his knowledge of websites,
blogging, and connecting with your public via the Internet, and was
equally delightful to listen to.
Bryce Mortimer, another very young man, was obviously experienced
and well-versed in his field, and explained keywords, search engines,
page ranks and more, and answered every question we could throw his
way.
With the help of people like this, I hope to be able to get my
message of hope and healing out to a much wider audience of readers,
and to help connect those who are grieving with the information that
can help them find solace and peace.
